8th Month of Blake
April 16th-May 15th
Blake is just about ready to sit up and share a bath with Grant. Blake loves his brother so he loved it and Grant was a big help cleaning him off!
Blake has been giving us so many adorable smiles these days!

We went on an Easter egg hunt and got to see and sit in a fire truck! Grant did not understand the Easter egg hunt at first but figured it out by the end. It was a beautiful day for the hunt.
We had Easter wit the Young's and Grant had a blast with his second hunt of the day. Grandma got a cute picture with her cute Fareway shoppers.
We went to church Easter morning and then went home to see what the Easter bunny brought us! A sand box!! Grant was so excited!

Blake has been sitting in the big boy seat of shopping carts. He especially loves to sit with his brother and drive the "beep beep" cart.
I got some good snuggles this month after Blake eats. Oh how I love those snuggles.
The boys had so much fun playing in their new sandbox!
We took the boys to the park and Blake loved the swings! He gave us such good baby giggles and smiles!
Grant started getting hives for no reason. I have been trying to track what is causing them but they are very random and I can't find a pattern. I asked the doctor about them and he said to see if you can find a cause. They seem worse after the bath or when he is hot but I think that just release more histamine. Luckily, they don't bother him so I just decided to give him daily zyrtec and they finally went away.
Grant is still Blake's favorite person ever. The only one who can make him giggle those baby belly giggles. Greg and I, of course, love hearing them so we try and make Grant entertain him often.
We are going to start getting serious about potty training soon! Wish us luck! He loves the potty dance so that is a good start.
Blake still chokes on food all the time. It scared the crap out of Greg and I. So at almost 8 months he is still mainly eating baby food. He is just starting to be able to eat puffs. We are hoping it gets better soon.
Grant just figure out how to jump on the trampoline and we are all so excited about it!
I took Grant to the library one day and he wanted to sit down and read. I love seeing this.
We painted the house this month and man, it was a lot of work. Greg did most of the work and thankfully, Greg's parents came down to help. Greg's Mom watched the kids so I could help also. The house looks so much better but it was a lot!
Blake's all ready for summer and sun!
Blake is starting to stand up with move the walker. He only lasts a few seconds but we are getting there!
Grant has quite the mood swings these days. Gotta love the terrible twos. His are actually pretty manageable and he has some pretty cute moments too!
Blake is almost crawling on all fours!
Grant loves reading with his Dad!
Look at this cute happy boy!

Grant is getting to work fixing trains!

I love to hear Blake babbling and talking to me.
Another 2 year old meltdown. Bananas seem to be hard for him. If they are not perfect or all in one piece, it is apparently very upsetting!
I had a great Mother's Day this year! Grant helped me make brownies and then Blake got to see Grandma when Greg went out to lunch with her!
Blake is still loving his bouncer!
Blake went through the tunnel! We initially thought Grant could get him to go through but it ended up being the train to convince him. Our boys sure do love trains.
Blake has been sick with ear infections this month. I started noticing his breathing also and it doesn't sound good. We went to the doctor later this day and ended up in the ER and ultimately the PICU but this video was the start of it all. I feel like I should have worried sooner but we went to the doctor initially and he said it was just because of the ear infection but it got worse over the 10 days of antibiotics.
Blake had a good 8th month! He is eating better and got his first tooth. He has been sick with ear infections and was getting very sick by his birthday. I got his 8th month picture in the hospital a few days late because he was in the PICU and we were very scared!
