6th Month of Blake
Feb 15-March 15, 2019
Grant has a lot of energy so we take him to the play place at the mall on weekend mornings to burn off some energy. Early mornings before the mall opened is the best. No one knows the mall is open so it's empty and the play place is cleaned the night before so we don't have to worry about so many germs! We do have some tantrums when it is time to leave at times. The train is open certain times since they left it up between Christmas and Easter so Grant LOVES riding that when its open!
Grant wanted to help Dad outside shoveling snow. It was all fun at first but the cold got to him and he did not last very long outside. Long enough though to sled down our backyard a few times.
Blake is starting to babble and talk more. I love listening to him "talk" and have a conversation with him!
Grant got pink eye from school. Luckily with medicine it clears up fast. Pink eye is no fun and we are trying to keep him away from his brother so he doesn't get it!
Blake just LOVEs his brother. If Grant give him an ounce of attention Blake will burst out in giggles. So, of course, I am constantly asking Grant to make Blake laugh. Blake just has the best laugh! Grant does not listen to my requests some of the time but Blake will still giggle at his brother. It is the cutest thing ever.
We went over to our friends house and they had hockey and Grant wanted to play at home too. I am worried about those hockey sticks being weapons down the road so we will have to put those high and only have them out when we are near.
Grant pooped in the bathtub! First time having to deal with this and hopefully the last. It is disgusting and horrible to clean up!

Grant will fall asleep in the car if it is anywhere near his nap time. We don't like him falling asleep in the car because then a good nap is our of the picture!

Greg's office has a pool in the workout area. We took the boys there on one exceptionally cold day and Grant had a blast. Blake watched from afar. We should definitely do this more often!
Blake is starting to "blow bubbles" and loves his jumperoo!
Grant asked me to hold his hand during dinner and I was in heaven! I will never say no to that request!
Umm, these are just the cutest pictures ever! Look at that love Blake has for his Dad!
Blake is so cute talking to himself in the mirror. Does he know that is Blake he is looking at?!
We had Thomas the Train on and Blake loved watching it in his bouncer. Look at that messy house...

Grant will play with Blake sporadically but Blake loves any and every moment his brother will pay attention to him.
Again, looking for activities to do with a busy toddler when it is freezing outside! Today we decided to paint ice and he had fun. It kept him busy for a few minutes which is longer than most activities.
Grant absolutely loves trains. He loves playing with trains, watching Thomas and just everything trains! I introduced Thomas the train to him and he has been in love with trains ever since.
Blake is getting close to crawling! Greg and I are not ready for 2 moving kids. EEK!
We introduced Blake to baby food and he loved it! He can't get food fast enough. He is still not sleeping the best so we are hoping this helps get us more sleep at night. Greg and I are tired!
Nana and Papa met us at Hy-Vee for the Paw Patrol brunch. Man, it was packed! Grant got to meet a few of the Paw Patrol characters. He did not want to talk to them but got a picture near by.

Another request to hold hands and I am all in!

Took Grant to Backyard Adventures which is a place that sells play sets and lets kids play on the floor models. Some of the slides were very fast and some play sets were very tall!

I caught this cute moment of Grant calmly and quietly reading to himself. It is just so fun to watch.
Blake is having fun playing with Grant's cars. Ssshh-don't tell Grant he is doing that or he won't be happy!
We love Blakey's smiles and his dimple. We will take Blake's smiles anytime we get them
Blake still hasn't been sleeping the best and does not sleep through the night so we are getting a lot of cuddles during the day and during naps. We even take them with Blake when we can.
Dad is enjoying the cuddles with both his boys-most likely watching Thomas!

We got Blake's 6 month pictures back and we got a few cute ones with smiles! I am impressed she got some smiles!
I cannot believe Blake is half a year old! It has been a long 6 months and we still aren't sleeping like I would like, but he is getting more interactive and it is fun to watch the boys together. Especially watching how much Blake loves his brother. He is getting close to sitting up! Blake was 36% for height, 18lbs 2 ounces which puts him at 58% weight and 64% for head circumference.
