3rd Month of Claire
October 1-31
We have been working on writing letters with Grant. He does a great job but it can be overwhelming learning howe to write letters and not have them be perfect so we learn in short time periods. He is getting so much better!

Greg took Grant to an outdoor festival at Raccoon River park and I stayed home with Blake and Claire during nap time. He learned how to make spin art.
Blake has been home with us often since his diagnosis of myoclonic seizures. We started Keto early October and he has been home with us most of the month until we can figure out his diet.
We celebrated Greg's birthday! He got the boys a present so they were able to open something for Greg. The boys loved it. He got a keto keylime pie. It wasn't what he would have chose but he will do anything for his kids. My mom made the pie and it turned out pretty good!
Blake fell because of seizures and got a black eye. He has jerks and they are often when he is eating so he hits his head on the table. Also, he sometimes falls out of his chair and hits his head. Once we started Keto his seizures got worse initially but got better a few weeks in. We asked the dietician and she says it is not normal for the seizures to get worse with keto. He is doing well with his eating and we are so proud of him.
Claire is more awake and noticing her toys on her bouncer. She is starting to touch and play with them!
I tried to get a picture of all 3 kids. The photographer tried to get this picture when Claire was a newborn and Blake was crying so I tried to recreate it but I still failed. I got a few cute ones!
My Grandma Fowles came into town and was able to meet Claire and see the boys! She had fun meeting Claire and it was great seeing her.
Claire is giving us so many smiles and giggles these days. We will do anything to make her smile. She is very happy after bath and I love it!
We put Claire in her sit-me-up chair for the first time and she loved sitting up and seeing more. She was intrigued with the bee and toys on the chair.
Claire rolled from her front to back and we were all cheering her on!
We love the baby snuggles and Claire sleeping on us.

We painted pumpkins and painted spider webs for Halloween. It was a beautiful day outside to paint. I tried to paint a purple pumpkin for epilepsy but it didn't turn out like I hoped and Blake wanted to help me which I liked better anyway. The boys had fun!
We went to Howell's Pumpkin Patch and it was a blast! Claire did great and slept most of the time. We went on a beautiful day.
Claire loves Kailey! She just stares at her when Kailey holds her!
Daddy and Grant got Claire to laugh and it was adorable!
Blake got a big boy bed and he was so excited! His bed had dinosaurs on it. The boys tried to have a sleepover the first night but it didn't last long. Grant falls asleep right away and Blake moves around and takes awhile to sleep. We will have to try again when they are older.
The boys have been loving to dance to "I'm Still Standing" from Sing and "Like a Monster" from Sonic. We love watching their dance moves and having dance parties.
Grandpa really wanted to get his monument done so Greg went to Webster City one day to help his parents. Greg said it was great, just like old times when Greg and Cal would go set stones and Cal was happy it was done.
Claire got covid the first week I went back to work. She did okay but was just so stuffed up she wasn't eating well. We ended up taking her into the ER because she wasn't eating but, of course, she ate right when we got to the ER room.

Grant was Ironman and Blake was Captain America for Halloween. They love to dress up and go fight the "bad guys" around our house. Claire didn't dress up since she was still recovering from Covid and not feeling well. It was a beautiful night outside and the boys had a blast.
Greg took the boys to Webster City the next time to trick or treat with Grandma and Grandpa. Grandpa had a lot of fun and so did the boys.
We did the "Switch Witch" this year because of Blake's keto diet. The boys put out all of their candy the night of Halloween and the witch takes the candy and leaves them a present. The boys got a hot wheel track and were so excited. They didn't miss their candy one bit.
This has been a rough month for Blake his he has done so well. It is a lot of stress on the whole family but we will do anything to help Blakey!
Grant had his last baseball game with his friends. It was a beautiful day out and Grant had fun with his friends.
This has been a fun month of smiles and giggles but also Covid. I went back to work and Claire got covid so I had the next few days off. She wasn't sleeping well so we were exhausted and I just wanted a little more time with her. I got more time but I didn't like seeing her so sick.
