2nd Month of Claire

September 1-Septmber 30

The boys went fishing with Grandpa and they both caught some fish!

The Science Center had a steam engine come downtown and we were able to take a ride on it!  It was so fun to see a real "Steamy"!  Blake was scared of the loud train whistle and we had to worry about smoke embers getting into our boys eyes but it was a fun experience.  Claire was great and slept the whole time.

Later that day we had Blake's birthday party with the Chalik family.  It was a big day for Blake!

We tried potty training Blake again right before his birthday.  We failed again so hopefully the next time he picks it up.  It is very frustrating for Greg and I and I am sure for Blake too.

Claire doesn't look like it in these pictures but she loves her baths these days.

Now that Claire is a little more awake the boys are starting to get more interested in their sister.

Greg went to the Iowa State Game with his friends so Nana came over to help me.  Claire is cheering for Iowa State just like her Daddy! And Nana got some good cuddles in today too!

We went up to Boone again this year to see Thomas.  Grandma and Grandpa came with us and we all had a blast!  Grandma, Grandpa and the boys went on the train ride.  We got to see Sir Topham Hat and so many trains!  It was a fun day and once again, Claire was a trooper! The second video is of Thomas coming into the station but Thomas is going VERY slow so it is a longer video.

Claire started SMILING this month!!  I absolutely LOVE when babies start smiling.  It is the cutest thing and you know all your sleepless nights and constant feedings are worth it.

Blakey was SO excited for his decorated door for his birthday!  We let him open up presents from us and he got to go to the jump park.  We had so much fun and we can't believe Blakey is already 3!!

Claire is still nursing well and I had to take this picture of Claire giving me the middle finger!

I caught Blake reading to himself in his room. I have so many of these videos and I love watching everyone of them!

Kempton held Claire for the first time.  He is such a good cousin!

Grant played T-ball with a bunch of his friends from daycare.  Greg and all the Dad's were the coaches.  It was fun to have all of his friends on a team together and I think he liked playing but got a little bored.  There isn't much to do in baseball at an early age.  Greg and I are not mad about it though.  Baseball is not either of our favorite sports.

We celebrated Blake's birthday with the Young's so he got another birthday celebration! 

Blake got very sick again and so when we went to our pediatrician he suggested we go back to our pulmonologist.  This is the sickest he has been in a long time.  Greg and I decided we want to try keto first before putting Blake on medicine.  We met with the dietician this month and it seems overwhelming but do-able to try and keep Blake off mediciner.  I also took Blake to the allergy doctor to see if he had any food or dye allergies and he does not.  We are slowly checking off the list of possibilities of why Blake is having seizures.  I am determined to figure something out to help Blake.

Claire can get fussy during bedtime and Blake plays with her so nicely to keep her entertained.  She loves it!

I love having all three kids cuddle on my lap.  Absolutely nothing better!

Claire is babbling more and we love to hear her voice.  Here she is looking at me and we are having a conversation.

The biggest thing this month was Claire starting to smile!  We can't get enough!  She weighs about 12lbs 7.5 oz.  She is still sleeping well but we have her in her rock n play still.  We will try to get her out of that soon but it is so nice that she sleeps so well in it!  It was a fun month with Claire!
