12th Month of Blake

August 16th-September 15th

Blake is almost walking!  We are so proud of him and he is so proud of himself!

Blake is doing so well eating!  He is tolerating foods well and I love his sweet smiles while he eats.

We had Leslie's wedding.  We were worried about an outside wedding in August but it ended up being a beautiful day!  Everything was great and it was a beautiful wedding.

Grant always has James by his side.  It is his favorite train and he sleeps with it every night.  We are so proud of Blake is his eating!  I love his crossed legs in the high chair.

Grant was all wrapped up in a blanket watching TV and he looked so cute so I had to take a picture.

Blake does great with the sippy cup.  He was done nursing on the night of his birthday and we were both okay with that.  He did not love nursing but everyone told me it was helping him stay healthy so we made it the full year!

Blake has been sick this month and so I am soaking up all the snuggles.

I love spending time with Grant.  He is a busy, busy boy with so much energy but he is at such a sweet age.

Grant loves getting new shoes.  It is most important when getting new shoes to make sure they are FAST!  He wants to be so fast and beat all of his friends at school.

Blake still loves his bouncer and jumps all the time!

Grandma and Grandpa were coming to watch the boys and they were taking too long for Grant!  He couldn't wait for them to get there.

Greg and I went to a Backstreet Boys concert.  My middle school self was in heaven!  I tried to get some of my girlfriends to go with me and no one could so Greg did!  He was such a good husband to go with me.  He even said they were a good concert and we got a night away in Omaha so it wasn't a complete waste for him.

We are just waiting for Blake to walk any time now!  He stands well on his toy so hopefully soon!

We got Blake's 1 year pictures.  His belly was a little bit for one of the shirts I had picked out.  He loves his food now.  He did pretty well for the pictures, definitely better than the past and we got a handful of good ones!

This is Blake on his birthday not happy about being trapped!  Good thing that gate is steady!

We had a busy day for Blake's birthday.  We got up and went to iHop for breakfast. The boys loved the pancakes and waffles.

Then we went home to clean and set up for Blake's birthday party!!!  We can't believe he is one year old already!  He loved his birthday, the presents and the cake.  He was so sick on his first birthday.  He had a virus and thrush.  Because of this thrush, his pacifier and bottle will be gone on his birthday so we don't have to boil the nipples after each time it goes in his mouth.  He does great with the sippy cup and wants to be just like his brother so I think he will transition well.

Blake is 1 year old!  It has been one rough year with Blake but we hope year 2 is better!  He has been SO sick this whole year with little sleep and so many challenges but we love him so much.  He is almost walking, done with bottles and pacifiers.  He loves his brother the most and Grant is one of the only ones who makes him belly laugh.  Blake has the best laugh and we always try to get Grant to make him laugh just so we can hear it.  He weights , height, head. Happy Birthday my sweet Blakey boy!

Grant is on Hive Pack Hoops and it has been a frustrating season for the team. It was fun to watch Grant score a free throw though. He was so proud of himself!

I caught Claire playing in with the hot wheels cars while playing in her brother's Captain America mask. So cute!

I tried to make cinnamon sugar sourdough bread and it still didn't turn out like I thought. The kids still wouldn't eat it which was my goal. AND it was a lot of work. So fail on that part but hoping to try bagels next and I have heard they are easier and better.

Carson invited Blake to go to the pool with him and Blake had a blast (even if the picture doesn't show it!)
