11th Month of Blake
July 16th-August 15th
We had fun at Lake Michigan this year. We stayed at the bus stop and loved having our own space but still close to every one else. Grant loved the sand and Blake also did after he warmed up to it. We kept his paci in the whole time on the beach to make sure no sand got in there. We went to a train museum and Grant loved it. It was HOT! Greg got to go fishing with the guys out on the lake. We put Grant on the bottom bunk of the bunk beds and he did not like to stay in there. So it was impossible to get him to go to bed and he did not like to stay in that bed so he was getting up at 4 or earlier. Greg and I spent a few nights/early mornings in that bed trying to get him to sleep. We were exhausted! Blake did well sleeping for the most part but woke up at any noise. So there wasn't that much sleep for Greg and I.
Blake is finally crawling like a big boy on all fours!
Blake has the absolute BEST laugh. I caught these great videos of him laughing and these just brighten your day and make you smile watching them.
Grant still loves trains and Blake is hopping on the trend as well. The boys both play on the train table together and get along some of the time. It is fun to see them enjoying the same things!
We took the kids to the zoo and they had fun!. Grant and I got to ride on a camel!
We have been working on potty training Grant and he has been naked. I go to clean the dishes and turn around and find this on the floor. A whole turn of poop right in the middle of our floor.

Blake still loves Grant. He will laugh at anything Grant does. I love watching them play together and I hope as they get bigger they play well together.
Blake loves when Dad "airplanes" him onto our bed! Both boys would let Dad do it all night if he would let them.
We celebrated Leslie's bachelorette party and it was a success! We had a night in the first night making fanny packs and hanging out and Saturday had a whole day of fun! A cooking class and then a pedal pub bus and went out after. It was a blast!
Blake learned how to clap! He does it all the time now!
Our house is a hot mess all the time. There are toys everywhere and Greg and I don't have the energy to clean up every night. Especially when sleep is not a guarantee. Our house will be clean one day but it might be in about 18-20 years or so. ;-D
We took Grant to the Iowa State Fair and he loved the little hand on the farm. He loved all the food and Greg is hoping he gets his love of the fair!
Auntie Kellie gave us Blaze hats and the boys love them. They are so cute in them!
I was told about this ring test. You put one of your hairs around your wedding ring and it will tell you what gender and how many children you will have. It is very creepy. It said I will have 2 boys and a girl so we will see!
I got to see some of my friends at Jackie's Mom's retirement party!

Blake is 11 months! I can't believe he is almost a year. He is pulling himself up and started clapping this month. He is eating better and sleep is getting better but still not consistent. We hope it continues to get better and we love the silly little guy that he is!
