Greg and I went to Arizona for a 30th birthday celebration one year later. We had a great time! We spent a few days visiting Aunt Toni and the Johnsons. We had fun visiting Jeff’s fire station and taking a ride in a fire truck. We, then, spent a few days at a resort. Unfortunately, the weather was horrible but we enjoyed our Grant free time together. Lots of relaxing and sleep to catch up on.
We took advantage of some nice winter days at the park!
Aunt Kellie and the cousins came to help me celebrate my birthday!
We switched daycare in April. We decided to change to A Child’s World because of hours and future preschool for Grant. We have been very happy with our new daycare and Grant made so many new friends.
Grant has learned some fun new tricks these past months! He loves animal noises and one of his favorite is an Elephant.
Super cute video of Grant putting on sunglasses!
Grant loves to help us sweep!
Grant started grabbing our faces and giving us open mouth kisses. Oh man, does it melt our hearts!
He is getting more and more fun by the day. He is learning how to play t-ball and basketball and loving it!
We are getting so many giggles these days and just can’t get enough. Kid giggles are the best sound!
Grant has become a big help. He loves putting away his clothes in the hamper and putting away the laundry basket.
We spent Easter with the Young family but were able to go to church with the Chaliks. Grandma put on an Easter egg hunt for us and it was just warm enough for us to do it outside! We also went to an Easter egg hunt at DMACC and Grant was not very interested this year, but it was still fun!
We had quite the long winter by April so we went to the mall play place and did some mall walking to burn off some energy! Grant has this new smile whenever we ask him to smile. Wide open mouth. Still looks cute to me!
This kid has endless energy. When it has been winter for what feels like eternity, we take him to stores to push carts.
More cute open mouth smiles while we eat and go for walks!
Two of those pictures above show off his nice cheek injury. We were at a friends house and Grant fell and hit his cheek on the corner of the coffee table. A few hours in the ER, some glue and we were all fixed up! Grant did great with the glue. He sat so still and impressed the doctor with how well he did! He did not pick at it once. The scar did not turn out like I hoped, and I am wishing I would have gotten stitches, but it is a battle scar for Grant’s future!
We seriously cannot get enough of this cutie pie! Dancing to twinkle twinkle little star and lullabies!
Celebrating at Grandpa Dencklau’s birthday party!
Grant loves his new soccer ball! Future soccer star just like Mommy!
We made it to one of the first farmers markets. It was packed but Grant loved all the activity!
We went to the zoo with Nana! Grant loved it! His favorite was the “choo-choo”. We had perfect weather also! We can’t wait to go back!
Grant is getting better at using utensils and he loves his growing independence.
Holding our new niece, Chloe! We visited her at the hospital and had to come back to the Myers to see her again!
Thank goodness it FINALLY got warm outside. Grant was very excited to play with his water table and go to the park.
Grant has become a HUGE mama’s boy and I LOVE it! I will take all I can get knowing it doesn’t last that long.
We have some exciting news! Grant is going to be a big brother in September! And it is another BOY! He has no idea what that means, but we are hoping he likes to be a big brother. Greg and I are excited to be able to give Grant a sibling.
So far the pregnancy has be a little more challenging than the first time. I have been very sick with multiple stomach viruses and an ear infection. This all happened before the pregnancy nausea had even kicked in. The fatigue is quite a bit worse when you are chasing a toddler around and are not able to nap whenever you want. ;-D I am hoping the next trimester is a bit smoother for me! We had our 20 week ultrasound and he is a healthy little boy. We can’t wait to meet him!
